SNOW in the Northwest

Just before Christmas a pretty big snowstorm hit the Pacific Northwest. We got about 12 inches of snow. Portland and Seattle got more- about 18 inches. Church was canceled, stores were closed, and chains were required on all cars without 4-wheel drive in the Portland metro area. Of course, we got around just fine since we're used to the snow it Utah. The day before we flew home for Christmas all flights were canceled. We were nervous that we would have to drive home, but thank goodness, the weather improved for a day and we flew out just fine.

Pretty hills with snow-topped trees

View out the front window and Evan's "Christmas tree" light contraption. It actually looked really good from the street when it was lit up.
